In 2011, I edited a book about the years 2008 – 2010 at HMK, the years Daniel Dennis de Wit and I were the HMK directors. Instead of going for documentation, designer Michiel Schuurman and I decided to use the book as an extension of HMK. A number of artists who have been guests of HMK in these years developed new works especially for print. The book was printed by Rob Stolk, and can be ordered through the HMK website.

The Book
HMK {Hotel MariaKapel} 2008 – 2010 Reunion is a reflection on the HMK yearprograms of 2008 – 2010 and contains a full glossary of all projects executed at HMK during that time. However, the majority of the book consists of new contributions from artists that worked at HMK in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

The book was edited by former HMK curator Jantine Wijnja, and was designed by Michiel Schuurman and was presented at the Instant Coffee Light Bar on December 11th, 2011.
